About the Levy:
The CPCC (Canadian Private Copying
Collective) is responsible for administering all blank media
levy revenues and payouts to the Canadian music industry.
Certain groups such as religious institutions and other
non-profit societies can receive an exemption certificate to
avoid having to make this payment IF they purchase their
blank media from an approved seller. Precision Media Group is
approved.
Musicians are also eligible for the exemption if
pre-conditions are met (ie. you must be a member of the AFM,
American Federation of Musicians).
