There are two main reasons for
the errors that occur during optical disc recording: weak
laser calibration or low quality recording surfaces due to
poor manufacturing controls. Even the best discs have a small
number of errors. Today, blank media recorders allow for
these minor errors and rewrite the data adding information
that helps the reader maneuver through badly written data.
However, the potential for errors during playback is
proportional to the number of errors on the media. Wherever
possible, you want to avoid placing a poor quality or
unusable disc ending in the hands of your best customer. At
PMG we offer professional grade discs from the industry
leaders: Tiayo Yuden, Mitsui, Maxell and Verbatim. We are
also a levy exempt reseller, and will be happy to explain how
you can avoid paying the blank media
levy by registering as a content creator.
